Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday recorded two more deaths including an 80-year-old from Srinagar and a 65-year-old from Shopian, have died of coronavirus in Jammu and Kashmir, taking the death toll due to the disease in the Union Territory to 71.
MS SMHS Hospital Dr. Nazir Choudhary said that 80-year-old Covid19 Patient from Srinagar’s Nawa Bazar area was admitted on June 16 and died the next day. “He was having Hypertension and bilateral pneumonia besides other underlying ailments.
He also said that 65-year-old Shopian patient was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday with “acute breathlessness.
Today’s COVID19 fatality became the 16th Srinagar resident, 8th Shopain resident and 71th in the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
With this fresh death the total death toll due to COVID-19 in Jammu and Kashmir rose to 71
