Union Home Minister Amit Shah chaired a security review meeting on Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday. The security review comes days after killing of four Armymen in Poonch in a terrorist attack.
lieutenant governor Manoj Sinha, national security advisor Ajit Doval, Army chief General Manoj Pande along with intelligence officials were present in the meeting.
According to an ANI report, Shah directed complete area domination and better coordination among police, Indian Army and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in J&K to strengthen security. He also stressed on the need to boost and strengthen local intelligence.
According to sources at the Ministry of Home Affairs, the major points of discussion at the meeting were security review on the recent attacks in Jammu and Kashmir, complete area domination and better coordination among police, army and CRPF in Jammu and Kashmir to strengthen the security.
