It follows an old script. The prospective employee base is interviewed in the office of the consultancy, told that the interviewer is the actual employer, mailed a bogus offer letter, and asked to reach any location in the Gulf on their own. Gullible as the exposure-lacking Kashmiris are they book a flight the next day, reach this office, and to their shock find out that their actual employer is a blood-sucking vampire who wants them to work for sixteen hours a day without any rest, puts them up in dingy accommodations where the employees are headed like cattle, seizes their passport on the day of arrival so that the employee cannot go back to his home country.
This is just a reformed and decorated way of human trafficking. Luring poor candidates for jobs in cash-rich Gulf countries where they end up nothing better than human slaves, do not have health insurance, and are made to work for sixteen hours on all days of the week.
The candidates must bear in mind that a good company or a reasonable employer always provides a residential visa and most likely pays for your air ticket. This is very important. Either go to some Gulf city and try searching for a job yourself. You are most likely to bag a job easily. When it comes to a consultancy always verify the background and read their reviews. Most of these consultancies are poachers of human talent and end up getting the best of the talents at the LK east of the salary. That is their job and this is how they earn money.
The current establishment must take a tougher stance when it comes to looking after these consultancies and ensure that no poor candidate is duped by these goons. The candidates must also get interviewed through as many consultancies as possible before deciding which job to opt for. Monolithic choices always end in disaster.
