The cordon and search operation in Nihalpora village of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district continued for second straight day on Wednesday.
A police official said that the search operation that began on Tuesday evening continued today.
On Tuesday evening, security forces comprising Army 29-RR, CRPF and Police surrounded Nihalpora village, some 3 kms from main town Pattan and launched a search operation.

The official said that the operation was conducted after forces had received inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
A local resident told Good Morning Kashmir that forces appeared in the village on Tuesday evening and started a door to door search operation.
He said that they had no clue about how long the operation would last.
