Srinagar: Kashmir Valley reported two more deaths due to covid-19, taking the fatality count due to the virus in J&K to 135, officials said on Monday.
Among them, a 90-year-old man from Tangmarg died at CD hospital, one of the exclusive facilities for the management of the covid-19 patients in the Valley, while another, a 56-year-old man from Kralpora passed away at SKIMS Soura.
The 90-year-old, a resident of Tangmarg area of the northern Kashmir district who passed away at CD Hospital, was suffering from Hypertension, underlying ailment of bilateral pneumonia, a health official said, adding he died today early morning.
As for the 56-year-old from Kralpora, he was admitted in at SKIMS Soura with bilateral Community-acquired pneumonia (CAP), health officials said.
With the deaths, 135 people have succumbed to the virus in J&K— 119 from the Valley and 14 from Jammu division.
