Three Militants killed in gunfight in Shopian

Srinagar: Three unindentified militants have been killed in an ongoing operation by security forces in Turkawangam area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Tuesday morning.

Official sources told GMK that, Three militants have been killed so far, while as the identity of trio militants was being ascertained.

Earlier reports said that on a tip off about the presence of militants, a joint team of Army’s 44RR (Rashtriya Rifles), Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police and CRPF launched a joint search operation in Turkawangam area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Tuesday morning.

Meanwhile authorities suspended internet services in area as a precautionary measure in wake of this encounter.
