Srinagar: Gunfight breaks out between militants and goverment forces in Zadibal area of Srinagar city on Sunday, police said.
Reports said that a joint team of Police, army, and CRPF launched cordon search operation in Zadibal area of Srinagad on early Sunday morning.
As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them, triggering an encounter.
“Encounter has started at #Zadibal Soura area of #Srinagar. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow,” tweeted Jammu and Kashmir Police.
