Gunfight rages in south Kashmir’s Shopain village

Srinagar: Gunfight breaks out between militants and goverment forces in Bandpawa village of Imam Sahib in South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Thrusday.

Officials sources said that, a joint team of Police, army’s 44-RR, CRPF and police launched Cordon-snd-Search-Operation in Bandpawa village of Imam Sahib in South Kashmir’s Shopian district.

As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them, triggering an encounter.

Meanwhile authorities suspended internet services in area as a precautionary measure in wake of this encounter.
