Srinagar: A gunfight broke out between militants and government forces in Ullar area of Tral belt in Pulwama district on Thursday.
Reports reached here to Good Morning Kashmir said that, a joint team of government forces including Police, Army and CRPF launched a search operation on specific information about the presence of militants in the village. As the forces approached towards the spot, the hiding militants fired upon them, which was retaliated and resulted in a gunfight.
“Encounter has started at Chewa Ular area of Tral Awantipora. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow,” tweeted Kashmir Police.
