Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir on wednesday morning recorded fresh death due to COVID-19 as a 65-year-old man, the resident of Feripora village of Shopian, died herr at SKIMS Hospital.
MS, SKIMS Soura Hospital, Dr Farooq A Jan said that the patient was admitted to SKIMS on June 15 with Covid-19 and acute exacerbration of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). He breathed his last at around 4.15 am due to cardiopulmonary arrest.
He became the 7th Shopain resident and 64th in the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
With this fresh death the total death toll due to COVID-19 in Jammu and Kashmir rose to 64.
