Srinagar: Awantipora Police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested four militant associates linked to militant outfit JeM.
A police spokesman in a statement issued have identified them as Shabir Ahmad Parray, Sheeraz Ahmad Dar, Shafat Ahmad Mir and Ishfaq Ahmad Shah residents of Bathen area of Khrew.
The statement said they were involved in providing shelter, logistics and other kind of support to the active militants of JeM operating in the areas of Khrew and forest areas of Tral.
Incriminating material including explosive material and ammunition have been recovered on their disclosure in Bathen area.
Case FIR No. 18/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Khrew. Further investigation in the case is in progress, the statement said
