A woman was injured after CRPF trooper fired upon a vehicle in Awantipora area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Saturday.
A police official said that CRPF fired upon a suspected vehicle, leading to the injuries to a woman identified as Jasia Parvaiz of Murran Pulwama, who was later shifted to hospital.

As per the police official, a vehicle bearing registration No. JK01J-8038 was stopped by traffic police at main chowk Awantipora. However the driver denied to stop and fled from the spot.
“When the driver reached at NHW, CRPF party fired upon the vehicle resulting in injury of a woman.”
Jasia as per the police was evacuated to nearby health facility where from she was referred to Srinagar hospital for advanced treatment.
