Budgam: Doodhpathri a famous tourist destination in central Kashmir’s Budgam district is witnessing record-breaking tourist footfall on the other hand people visiting this place are complaining of lack of basic infrastructure.
Pony Wallas, restaurant owners, and shopkeepers at the resort blame government for being unable to develop the resort and provide the facilities like good network coverage, and ATM service.
“Doodhpathri is still waiting for mobile connectivity and ATM services, which is lingering over the years,” locals said.
“Doodpathri is being neglected especially when it comes to such facilities, our whole earning depends on tourism so we want government should pay heed towards this resort so that tourism will flourish here,” they said.
“If the tourists here need money, they have to come down fifteen kilometers to use an ATM,” they said.
“There are families, Shepherds who come here to graze their flock or those employees who come here to work from different departments whether the forest department or tourism department they too have to face the same difficulties,” they said.
The residents and visitors appealed to the administration to look into the matter and ensure mobile connectivity is made available in Doodhpathri as soon as possible.
