“Only an individual who has a true appreciation for art and culture can guarantee that artists’ voices are acknowledged, traditions are maintained, and creative expression is fostered in a significant and inclusive way,” Jeelani stated.
The appeal directed towards, Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, and Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, Jeelani stressed that such leadership is crucial not only for protecting the region’s rich cultural legacy but also for nurturing future generations of artists and strengthening Jammu and Kashmir’s cultural identity.
Jeelani, highlighted the Academy’s pivotal role in the cultural ecosystem. He expressed confidence that the authorities would consider the matter thoughtfully in the broader interest of the artistic community.
The J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages has historically been instrumental in promoting literature, visual arts, music, and theatre across the region.
