Vehicles, commuters rescued after being stuck in snow along Bandipora-Gurez road

Authorities in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district rescued 20 vehicles that were stuck amid the snowfall on Bandipora-Gurez Road, officials said Tuesday.Jammu and Kashmir tourism

Quoting an official, news agency KNO reported they received information about 20 vehicles having been stuck on the Razdan Pass and other areas. Following this, the official said they initiated a rescue operation.

Teams from the Administration, J&K Police, and Beacon were sent to the area, who rescued the vehicles along with the drivers, and passengers in snow near Zadkhus Nallah and Razdan Top during the night, the official said.

The Bandipora-Gurez road was closed for traffic yesterday evening due to snowfall along Razdan Top and other hilly areas in the region.
