Umar Khalid tests positive for Covid in Tihar Jail

Former JNU student Umar Khalid tested positive for Covid-19 on Sunday.

Reports said that Khalid had developed symptoms of the diseases following which he was tested for the coronavirus infection .Khalid has now been put in isolation by the jail authorities

Khalid is currently in jail over several charges regarding his alleged role in the February 2020 Delhi riots.

A session court on April 15 had granted him bail. However, he is yet to be granted bail in the UAPA case related to the Delhi riots.
