Two terrorists killed in over night encounter at Sopore

Two unidentified terrorists were killed in an overnight encounter in Nowpora area of north Kashmir’s Sopore, officials said Friday.

Official sources said that in the ensuing operation in Nowpora, two terrorists were killed in the gunbattle.

The operation as per the officials was launched on Thursday by a joint team of Police, Army, and CRPF based on specific intelligence inputs about the resence of terrorists in the area. As the operation progressed, the terrorists engaged the security forces in a gunfight. The area remains cordoned off as operations continue.

Meanwhile, operation is in progress and roads leading to the encounter site has been sealed off by the security forces.
