Two army soldier have been seriously injured, after an exchange of fire broke out between militants and security forces in Kanigam village of Imamsahib belt in South Kashmir’s Shopian district in the late hours of Friday.
A senior police officer said that two army soldiers were injured during exchange of fire. Adding that the duo injured soldiers have been shifted to hospital for treatment, he said.

Earlier, Reports reaching Good Morning Kashmir said that a joint team of Police, Army’s 44 RR and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Kanigam.
As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off an gunfight.
