The accident took place close to the Ramwari area in Gund, prompting an immediate large-scale search and rescue operation by the authorities.
Teams from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Jammu and Kashmir Police, and local volunteers were swiftly mobilized to locate the missing persons upon receiving news of the incident.
Officials stated that rescue efforts were ongoing as of the latest report, with personnel combing the canal and surrounding areas.
