Army on Monday said that it killed two infiltrators while foiling an infiltration attempt on the Line of Control (LoC) in the Poonch sector area of Jammu and Kashmir.

A defence spokesperson in Jammu, Lt Col Suneel Bartwal in a statement said that the army launched “Operation Bahadur” in the intervening night of Sunday and Monday after an attempt was made by infiltrators on the LoC in the Poonch sector area.
The operation, the spokesperson said, was launched by the Indian army along with Jammu & Kashmir Police.
“In this Operation Bahadur, two infiltrators have been eliminated,” he said, adding that the search operations are in progress.
