Two civilians injured in cross LoC firing in north Kashmir’s Uri

Baramulla: Two civilians were injured on Saturday after the armies of India and Pakistan exchanged firing and shelling along Line of Control (LoC) in Nambla, Uri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

An official said that Pakistan Army on resorted to intense shelling on forward posts along the LoC in Nambla area of Uri sector, resulting in injuries of two civilians.

The duo as per the official were identified as Mohd Maqbool and Gh Mohammad Sheikh of Nambla village of Uri area.

The official said the Indian Army retaliated befittingly and cross-border shelling between the two sides was going on when last reports were received.
