For tuitions the students are forced to pay a huge sum of money. Before this pandemic, It was observed that in many of these tuition centers there is one teacher for more than a hundred students. How can quality tuition be ensured in that atmosphere?

In our mad quest for turning all our wards into doctors and engineers we are ready to spend our hard earned money in these tuition centers. The government has time and again shown a lot of laxity in bring accountability to these tuition points.

Everyone knows, that the effects of lockdown on school and college education has been widely discussed and documented. Yet, the lockdown’s impact on the lucrative tuition centre industry has flown under the radar. While most organised centres are offering some form of e-learning, students say the online classes don’t offer the sort of rigorous personal attention that they expected when they paid significant sums of money upfront. Education is seen as one of the few remaining opportunities for upward mobility in stratified society, and it isn’t uncommon for parents from across the class-spectrum to set aside money for expensive after-school tuitions.

Now, these parents are wondering why they are continuing to pay hefty fees for vastly diminished services. Many parents and students now want their money back, even as teachers say they are struggling with the always-on demands of online teaching. But for now, the tuition centres are holding firm.

It shows a lot is wrong and the establishment is watching the whole thing as mute spectators. As per a general observation the prominent teachers who are also owners of these tuition centers should be amongst the highest tax payers in the society. We would like to know from the establishment what is the actual income of these tuition center owners and what is their contribution towards the development of the state.
