Jammu Police foiled a major attack by arresting a TRF militant with 5-kg improvised explosive device (IED) in Narwal area, officials said on Sunday.

A senior police officer on Sunday said that the Special Operation Group team on Saturday evening have arrested a militant with explosives.

“The militant was arrested from near a prominent shopping mall with arms, ammunition and five-kg IED,” the officer said.
“The militant was immediately whisked away to a safe house for sustained interrogation to ascertain whether their other contacts have also managed to sneak into Jammu or not,” he added.
