Traffic cop killed in Anantnag mishap

A traffic police constable was on Tuesday killed by a speeding truck on Srinagar-Jammu national highway in south Kashmir district of Anantnag.

Official sources said that a traffic police constable, identified as Abdul Majeed Tantray, was hit and critically injured by a speeding truck on Tuesday at Qazigund area of the district.

Tantray as per the official was immediately taken to nearby hospital, where he was declared brought dead.

Meanwhile, Police has registered a case and initiated investigation into the incident.
