Srinagar: Three militants and an ASI of police were killed in a gunfight in Panthachowk area of Srinagar district that started on Saturday night.

Police said that the identity of the slain militants is yet to be ascertained.

The gunfight broke out late last night after security forces launched a search operation to trace the militants who opened fire on a joint naka party of the police and CRPF in Pantha Chowk.
