Three drug peddlers arrested in Kulgam

Jammu and Kashmir police arrested three drug peddlers and recovered poppy straw and charas in Kulgam district.

A police spokesman said on Tuesday that a police party from Police Station (PS) Kulgam intercepted a vehicle and recovered 700 grams of charas. A drug peddler was arrested and vehicle seized, he said, adding that a case FIR number 167/2021 U/S 8/15,20NDPS has been registered and further investigation taken up.

He said in another drive police arrested two drug peddlers and recovered 14 kgs of Poppy Straw in Qazigund.

A case FIR No.165/2021U/S8-15NDPSAct stands registered in PS Qazigund and investigation taken up.
