A 16-year-old boy was injured after being stabbed by another boy in the Villgam area of Kupwara district in North Kashmir, officials said.

They informed GNS that an altercation occurred between two boys while they were bathing in Nallah Kehmil in Villgam this afternoon. As the argument escalated, a boy named Areez Ahmad Ahangar (16), son of Javed Ahmad from Mirpora Trehgam, stabbed the other boy, Saqib Ashraf, son of Mohammad Ashraf from Dingree Trehgam, with a sharp object, causing injuries.
“The injured boy was immediately taken to SDH Kupwara for treatment, and his overall condition is reported to be stable,” they said.
A police official confirmed the incident, stating that a case has been registered for further investigations. (GNS)
