They said that the road is in a dilapidated condition for the last few years but the authorities have failed to even pay a visit to ascertain the damages.

“Dilapidated roads in our area had left us in panic for a long time. The present condition of road is horrible that the passerbys have to go through difficulties,” said, Manzoor Ahmad Seer, a local resident.

He said that their vehicles often get damaged due to bad condition of the road.

“Roadwork on Tangpathri was started in the year 2003 but till date no macadamization work has been carried, as a result there are countless chuck holes between road that causes damage to vehicles,” said Mushtaq Ahmad, another local resident.

“The upper surface of roads has worn off, the deep pits can cause fatal accidents,” he said.

Locals said that the authorities are not serious and have not taken any initiative to maintain these damaged roads.

“Remote areas are always neglected. No team has come to see the ongoing issues of these areas<‘ they said.

We appeal the LG Admin as well as the District administration Bandipora to intervene into the matter as soon as possible so that the citizens may have a sign of relief.
