Swiggy Delivers Adulterated Food Again, Customers Fall Ill in Lal Bazar

In yet another case of food adulteration, online food delivery giant Swiggy has come under fire for delivering stale and unhygienic food to a customer in Lal Bazar.

The incident occurred when a family placed an order from the well-known Roadside Cafe at Main Bus Stand, Lal Bazar.

According to the aggrieved customer, the order consisted of three chicken biryanis and two pastas. However, Swiggy delivered only one pasta instead of two, along with three foul-smelling and stale biryanis. The food was reportedly so unhygienic that two family members fell sick and vomited after consuming it.

“We were shocked when we opened the food packets. The biryanis smelled terrible, and the rice was clumped together. Despite placing an order for two pastas, we received only one,” the customer alleged.

This is not the first time Swiggy has been accused of delivering substandard food. Several complaints have surfaced in the past regarding unhygienic meals supplied by restaurants through the platform.

The affected customer has demanded strict action against both Swiggy and Roadside Cafe. Meanwhile, food safety authorities have been urged to intervene and take necessary action to prevent such incidents in the future.
