“It seems that the concerned authorities have turned a blind eye towards the stray dog menace here. The dogs are seen strutting here with no official taking notice of the incident,” said one the attendant.

During a visit to the hospital, it was found that stray dogs were roaming inside the hospital, where pregnant women regularly come for treatment.

Despite the presence of stray dogs on the hospital premises, the authorities chose to stay mute, Zubair Ahmad, who had come to meet his relative at the hospital, said, “On the second consecutive day, stray dogs followed me near the gate. Stray dogs are causing inconvenience to attendants and patients. There is a need to find out stringent solution to the problem.”

Another attendant said that we are afraid of going to the market to get medicines due to stray dogs. Besides, children are vulnerable to stray dogs. The authorities are not doing anything to check the menace.
