Srinagar: A Central Reserve Police Force personnel who was critically after a gunfight in Malbagh area of Srinagar district succumbed to his injuries.

A Police officer said that, the critically wounded CRPF personnel succumbed to his injury here in a hospital.
The gunfight erupted on Saturday evening after a joint team of army’, SOG and CRPF launched cordon and search operation in Malla Bagh area of Hazratbal in Srinagar after having credible input about presence of some militants in the area.
As the joint team of forces approached the suspected area the hiding militants fired upon searching party triggering an encounter.
