The raids were part of an investigation into cross-border funding through cryptocurrency allegedly used to finance terrorism and disturb peace in Jammu and Kashmir.

The searches also focused on identifying individuals involved in inciting youth against the Union of India and threatening national security.

The case is being investigated under FIR No. 12/2022, registered at Police Station CI-SIA Kashmir under Sections 18, 38, and 39 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), and Sections 120B, 121, and 121A of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Officials said the raids led to the recovery of electronic devices and other material, which are expected to help identify co-conspirators and those facilitating the alleged activities.

“The SIA remains committed to dismantling the terror support ecosystem, including emerging methods such as cryptocurrency-based funding,” the statement added.
