Shah Faesal, Sartaj Madni and Peer Mansoor’s detention under PSA revoked

Srinagar: Detention of Shah Faesal, who had launched a new political party before August 2019, and two PDP leaders Pir Mansoor and Sartaj Madani under Public Safety Act (PSA) revoked by Jammu and Kashmir admin.

Official sources told GMK that, All three politicians will walk home by this evening.

Meanwhile Omar Abdullah took to twitter and wrote; “Good to hear @shahfaesal, Peer Mansoor & Sartaj Madani have been released from their unjust PSA detention. Disappointed that @MehboobaMufti, Sagar Sb & Hilal Lone continue to be detained. It’s high time they are set free as well.”

Also Nayeem Akhtar who remains under PSA along with Sagar Sb in a government bungalow on Gupkar road. He too should be released without any further delay. There is no justification for their continued detention,” he tweeted.

Earlier, On August 04 (2019), most of the Jammu and Kashmir mainstream politicians including Srinagar MP and former J&K chief minister Farooq Abdullah, his son Omar Abdullah and PDP president and former CM Mehbooba Mufti were detained. While the Abdullahs have been released, Mufti continues to be under house arrest.
