Security forces launched cordon and search operation in two hamlets of South Kashmir’s Shopian district in south Kashmir on Sunday morning.
The search operation in both the villages was underway till the filing of this report.
Sources said that combined forces including soldiers from Rashtriya Rifles, Special Operation Group of local Police and CRPF cordoned off Reshipora and Keegam villages of the district Shopian after receiving specific inputs about the presence of militants.

Sources added that door to door search operation was initiated and all the entry and exit points of the village have been sealed.
Local sources said that huge contingents of forces have been deployed in these areas, however, no contact with militants has been established so far.
