SC launches mobile app to provide links for virtual hearings to journalists

The Supreme Court on Thursday launched a mobile app for providing links of virtual hearings to journalists.

Chief Justice NV Ramana launched the facility in a virtual event at 1230 hrs today.

The meeting was also attended by Justices DY Chandrachud, AM Khanwilkar, and Hemant Gupta.

The app, which is secured from unauthorised attempts of entry, aims to make the top court hearings more accessible for media persons amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

During the event, a feature of Indicative Notes–a summary of landmark judgments– on its website also been introduced.
