“Till date there is no clarity on Delimitation Commission and unless Delimitation will not happen, Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir will not take place,” Dr Abdullah here told reporters.

But, he said that the National Conference is very much ready for elections whenever they will be held and the party will “form” the next government in Jammu and Kashmir provided “free and fair” polls are conducted.

However, in the wake of recent roll back of farmer laws, he expressed hope that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also listen to the ‘heart beats’ of people of Jammu and Kashmir.

At the upcoming Winter Parliament Session he said, “I will be attending the session and being Member Parliament, I am not a representative of a particular region but the whole nation.”

“There are many issues like unemployment, inflation, poor getting poorer, degradation of the education sector and we will be taking up these matters in the Parliament,” said Dr Abdullah.

The National Conference stalwart also termed the decision of abolishing century old ‘Darbar Move’ exercise as ‘wrong’.

“Darbar Move” used to connect people of both the regions (Jammu and Kashmir), they used to know each other but the government tried to “divide” them, alleged Dr Abdullah.
