Defence Minister Rajnath Singh arrived in Srinagar on Saturday on a two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh to participate in the Kargil Vijay Diwas commemorations. He was received at Srinagar Airport by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.

During the visit, Singh will travel to the Drass sector in Kargil district to pay tribute to the soldiers who laid down their lives during the 1999 Kargil conflict. He is scheduled to attend the Kargil Vijay Diwas celebrations at the Kargil War Memorial on Sunday.
