Srinagar: Inhabitants of Rawalpora in Srinagar Tuesday protested against the alleged army highhandedness.

The army personnel Tuesday morning allegedly thrashed a local youth while he was overtaking an army convoy vehicle.
“Army men stopped him and started beating him, soon after the incident locals assembled and held massive protests,” a local resident said.

Men, women and children came on the road and blocked the vehicular traffic by sitting on dharna.
They were raising slogans against harassment.
Police and civil officers rushed to the spot for pacifying the protestors.
