In the present world, the merit of quietude is often overlooked and most of our effort is directed towards securing happiness through all available means. To feel at peace you need to release judgments, and criticisms in fact clean your memories of pain, while you don’t leave what you’ve been through behind, you’ll be reliving similar situations in the present, and reacting to them with the same weight as in the past. If there is no happiness there is no peace of mind. To be happy, you need to let go of the past and open yourself up to live in the present with love. By doing this, from a place of love, forgiveness, and gratitude, you begin to feel that it is possible to cultivate peace within yourself. Honor your past, but stop reliving the pain that happened in it. Bring to the present only the happy memories, the good times you lived with the one you love. Try to focus on the experiences and lessons, on how they made you stronger and more prepared to live today with more vigor and courage.
When you focus on the pain and sadness you’ve experienced, you generate emotional distress that steals your peace, and even if everything is going well in the present, nothing will be able to make you feel truly happy. You need to decide to hand over these pains to the file of oblivion, after removing from them everything they are, true masters and teachers. Learn from pain, don’t succumb to it. You will feel at peace when you make that recognition, when you look at them with acceptance and allow them to dissolve into the vastness of the Universe.
When you take a deep breath and say, “I forgive myself, and I forgive everyone and everything, I’m sorry, but there’s nothing to be done about what happened in the past, I can only live in the present, and the present is more than enough for me to do things differently, plant new seeds, in more fertile soils, and enjoy everything I deserve to live. I choose to release my memories of pain and love my memories to release the pain.” Say that sentence to yourself everyday and let go. Choose to live in peace. Happiness is more about lighting up the shadows than about living a problem-free life. Happiness is more about illuminating the shadows that keep us from seeing the solutions, than living a problem-free life.
Happiness is about illuminating the shadows with your sunshine. You can observe, whenever you feel sad, unmotivated, hopeless, tired, discouraged, you bend your body and look down. You take your hands to your head and lean over yourself and dive into your inner shadows. At that moment, you begin to allow your mind to access your unconscious memories of pain, and the longer you remain there, bent over, brooding over the pain, the darker and more blurred your vision becomes in the face of the reality that presents itself. Today I know that I must pray bowing myself . I learned that when we lift our heads and keep our bodies upright this heals our soul with wisdom and more peace. I know that when we get down on our knees, we demonstrate our humility and reverence for something far greater than our understanding can conceive. But when this kneeling comes along with the poison of lamentation, we dive into the illusions of victimism.
Happiness is more about illuminating the shadows that prevent us from seeing the solution, than living a problem-free life. Seek to purify the memories of pain that the mind brings with your love. It is this movement that brings clarity of what needs to be done to transform your reality for the better. Clarity makes you perform small miracles together with creation because it is your inner sun that has the power to shut the illusions that the ego creates. When you are living connected with your inner sun, you stop feeding the suffering, let go of the past, resignify and honor your history, and then reap the fruits of all that clarity. Seeing things clearly is our biggest challenge in this life, because most of the time, the interpretations we make of facts are very wrong, full of judgments, criticisms, blame, and charges. Happiness is about purity, innocence, simplicity, and wisdom, it’s about feeling as an integral part of nature , it’s about overcoming the waiting wall and leaving what hurts behind. Happiness is about, even in failures, being able to see the learning. It’s about living connected to the source of life, it’s about feeling the strength that manifests itself in us every dawn. It’s about illuminating thoughts and feelings to act positively in the face of life’s battles. It’s reconnecting with your inner child, with his wishes and dreams, healing him, and waking up renewed to find maturity and fullness through the light he emanates. It’s about knowing yourself and not getting carried away by the ego that thinks you’re better than others. It is to overcome the ego, recognize your own light to overcome pain.
