The Pathways Education organized a workshop under the Azadi Leadership Program (Kashmir Cohort) at Government Middle School, K. Gojran, Khiram, Anantnag, with the goal of empowering tribal students through awareness of their educational rights and available government schemes designed to support their academic and professional growth.
The workshop was attended by over 80 students and staff members, which began with a warm welcome, while Miss Rafia, a key member of the organizing team, started the session by offering mental and emotional support to the students, creating a safe space where the children felt confident to share their aspirations, challenges, and goals.
Similarly, Miss Humira Tabassum, the main organizer, outlined the workshop’s objectives and highlighted various scholarships, reservation policies, and government schemes available to tribal students, encouraging them to take full advantage of these opportunities to pursue higher education and uplift their communities.
The workshop also gave students a chance to display their talents. Awards were given for creativity and skill, further boosting the participants’ confidence. An art competition, led by social activist Miss Sumeera, was another highlight of the event, engaging students in activities that promoted teamwork and creative thinking.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Miss Humira, who expressed her gratitude to the Azadi Leadership Program for their support, the school management for hosting the event, and the students for their enthusiastic participation.
Students also expressed their desire for more such programs, finding the workshop both valuable and enjoyable.
