Srinagar: Panic gripped Trauma Hospital Pattan in north district Baramulla, as several COVID positive cases have been reported in few hours in Sub division Pattan, which created panic in whole area.
According to local news gathering agency CNS, employees of Trauma Hospital Pattan saidv that government has recently decided to conduct all deliveries of Baramulla District in the said Hospital at Pattan, but unfortunately no precautionary steps have been taken by Health Department of Baramulla district including BMO Pattan for screening of patients and their attendants, before being admitted in the hospital.
Attendants have alleged that health department is playing with the lives of pregnant patients as well as the staff members inside hospital and people outside the hospital.
Besides, there is totally mess in and outside Trauma Hospital which is threat to all pregnant patients and also to newly born babies.
An employee of the hospital, on the condition of anonymity said, “BMO is unconcerned about the threat posed by the decision of the department and she does not bother about patients and attendants or employees.”
Pertinently several COVID positive patients have been reported since last few days from different areas of Sub division Pattan and locals allege that it seems that administration instead of taking precautionary measures is trying to hide these cases to media as well as their senior officers.
Locals of Pattan town as well as attendants of the patients at the hospital have requested divisional administration to take steps for screening of patients, who are regularly visiting Trauma Hospital Pattan. (CNS)
