Jammu: Pakistani troops engaged in heavy firing and shelling in forward areas along the Line of Control (LoC) and the International Border (IB) in Poonch district on Monday.

“At about 10 am, Pak army initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing with small arms and intense shelling with mortars along LoC in Poonch,” officials said.

The Indian Army is retaliating to the cross-border fire befittingly, officials said.
