Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s office on Saturday said that the CM called Prime Minister Narendra Modi to inquiry about the supply of liquid medical oxygen. However, CM Thackeray was told that PM Modi is in West Bengal and will get back to him in this regard.
As per the reports, Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray tried reaching Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the shortage of oxygen and Remdesivir, a drug for Covid-19 treatment, but was told he was on a visit to poll-bound West Bengal.

Union Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan said he had reached out to Mr Thackeray and assured him Maharashtra – the worst-affected state in the country – would get an “adequate and uninterrupted supply of medical oxygen”, and 1,121 ventilators.
“Spoke to Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackerayji… Reassured (him) of adequate & uninterrupted supply of medical oxygen & all possible support with reference to healthcare infrastructure, medicines & therapeutics…,” he posted.

Additional 1,121 ventilators are also being rushed to them given the surge in cases.
