The locals said that the absence of street lights from Nowhatta to Malkha (upto graveyard) due to which the general public has to suffer.
“People moving from Downtown areas to the graveyard route face huge problems in the night hours. There is not a single street light from our area to graveyard road which causes inconvenience to the commuters,” Neelofar Hameed, a local resident said.
“Due to the absence of street lights, it is quite scary to walk in the evening hours. People who visit to offer funeral prayers or dua-e- magfirat have to face many difficulties as soon as the dusk sets,” she added.
Due to extreme darkness people walking the road can easily fall in potholes and get injured, locals said.
