New Normalcy

Kashmir is known as the heaven on earth. There was a time when it was the epitome of peace and beauty but unfortunately, the political situation in our valley deteriorated over years. Hundreds of people including small children were killed in this conflict. Curfew was imposed every day which affected the studies of our children. Men, women both could not earn their livelihood in tense situations. People have been praying for normalcy for many years. Elderly women have been shedding tears for decades. However, since the abrogation of Article 370, positive changes have been noticed in Kashmir. The administration is trying to connect with the locals of Kashmir in a good way. Kashmir has traveled a considerable distance towards normalcy since 2019. In the last four years, J&K has witnessed more investment than in the last 70 years. The union territory has witnessed 54 percent reduction in terrorist incidents, a 22 percent drop in the recruitment of terrorists and 84 percent decline in the deaths of security forces. The administration has taken many initiatives to restore peace in the valley. The common people are carrying on with their daily work. Children are going to schools, colleges, and universities. Youngsters are being pushed towards sports, art, and culture. Opportunities have been provided to the youth who want to excel in these fields. They are working hard to achieve their career goals. Strict action has been taken by the Jammu and Kashmir police against the drug mafia. Youngsters are being dragged to rehabilitation centers in order to keep them away from drugs. The administration is also providing employment to youngsters to try their luck as entrepreneurs. Nowadays young boys and girls have touched the skies working as entrepreneurs. They want youth to earn their livelihood and stand on their own feet. The best evidence is the progressing tourism sector. From last four years there is a huge rush of tourists in Kashmir. The administration is taking pains to divert the attention of youth towards the progress of Kashmir. The current government has also reduced the incidents of corruption and are on the front foot to end the pains of people.
