In a statement issued here, KP political activist, Umesh Talashi said that, Government should rehabilitate Kashmiri Pandits first, before rehabilitation of India in Jammu and Kashmir.

“I strongly oppose this draconian land bill so does my homeless community (Kashmiri Pandits). We too will hit the streets if its not repelled,” he said.

Talashi said that betrayal and politics of deceit was the hallmark of present government, which was hell-bent upon snatching everything from the people of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh by amending and bringing in different laws.

Central government is least bothered about the aspirations of the people and “takes decisions, which are politically motivated and against the wishes of the people of Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.

Talashi termed the new land laws as an assault on the rights of people saying he including with hundreds of Kashmiri Pandits would not accept such “anti-J&K decisions” by the Centre.

Umesh Talashi further said, all these measures and laws, lacking moral legitimacy, are forced upon the people of J&K with an unprecedented political stunt.
