The mother-in-law of Imam Jama Masjid Srinagar Mufti Ghulam Rasool Samoon passed away on Thursday. The deceased was the wife of Habib-ullah Samoon of Gurez presently residing at Kralpora, Budgam.
The incarcerated Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr Moulvi Muhammad Farooq, who is also the chairman of the Anjuman Auqaf Jama Masjid Srinagar, has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the demise and expressed condolence and solidarity with the bereaved family.

In a statement, the Anjuman Auqaf Jama Masjid Srinagar, on behalf of its incarcerated chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, paid rich tributes to the deceased.
The deceased was a pious, noble and a lady of strong character, the Anjuman said, and prayed to Almighty Allah to grant Jannat-ul-Firous to her and forbearance to the bereaved family especially Mufti Ghulam Rasool Samoon to bear the irreparable loss.
