Missing Pulwama boy joins militant ranks, audio viral on social media

Srinagar: A missing BUMS student from Charsoo village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district has reportedly joined militant ranks.

A purportedly audio clip of the BUMS student, identified as Aadil Rashid, son of Ab Rashid, a resident of Charsoo area of Pulwama district has gone viral on social networking sites, in which he can be heard as saying that, “I have choosen the way of Allah and i’m safe, please don’t find me.”

Family members of the Aadil said that, on Tuesday afternoon after having lunch, he offered prayers in Masjid and since then, he didn’t return home.

“We contacted all our relatives, but after failing to trace him, we lodged a missing report at Police Station Awantipora.

When contacted SSP Cyber Police, Tahir Ashraf, said that he has know knowledge about the audio clip.

However, sources in the police said that  they are ascertaining the authenticity of the audio.
