Srinagar: Inspector General of Police [IGP], Vijay Kumar on Thursday said that the missing Bemina Scholar has joined militant ranks.

In response to a question about missing Bemina Scholar, Kumar said that he has joined militant ranks, however, keeping the requests of family into consideration and their track-record, police are investigating the matter.

Earlier toaday, Director General of Police [DGP], Dilbagh Singh said that 165 militants have been killed in Jammu and Kashmir this year, 155 in Kashmir and twelve in Jammu region.
About the Batamaalo gunfight, the DGP during a press conference said that three militants and a woman was killed and a CRPF soldier was critically injured.
