Mehbooba’s sister Dr Rubaiya complains of lewd calls

Chennai: Rubaiya Sherif, sister of former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Mehbooba, on Tuesday night approached the Chennai police saying she had been receiving obscene calls on her mobile phone.

The calls, made from three numbers, including international, had been troubling her since Monday and she had blocked the caller, Rubaiya was quoted as saying by ToI.

Police registered a case under IPC sections 294 (B) (using obscene language) and 354 (d) (stalking). “We are trying to trace the caller,” said police.
